 Ai Haibara (灰原 哀, Haibara Ai) | Shiho Miyano, also known as Sherry in the Black Organization, is a brilliant chemist responsible for creating the poison APTX 4869, which accidentally shrinks Jimmy Kudo. After her sister Akemi is killed by the organization, Shiho attempts suicide with the drug, but instead of dying, she too becomes small. At 18, she escapes the organization and hides under the alias Ai Haibara. Ai Haibara is a complex character with a troubled past. She's a half-Japanese, half-English genius who grew up in the United States. Her parents and sister were also involved with the Black Organization, making her betrayal deeply personal. Despite her initial standoffish demeanor, Ai Haibara slowly opens up to her new companions. She often assists Conan in solving cases and gathering information to dismantle the Black Organization, all while searching for a cure to their shared condition. With strawberry blonde hair and a sharp mind, Ai Haibara is a valuable ally in the fight against crime. Her character, conceived as Ran Mori's polar opposite, adds depth and intrigue to the series. |
